I bought 1.5, 2, and 2.5 inch lengths and all perform the same. I get a lot of nail jams with my dewalt rechargeable finish nailer. When things are working properly this nailer makes life much easier, though. It is very frustrating. The gun is new and it is the first I have ever used.so it is possible that the problem is with me or the gun. I think I go through as many nails clearing a jammed gun as regular use.
I am impressed that I have never had a single misfire on my electric nailer--now if they could only get the weight down a bit. When I first bought my DeWalt electric nailer I also got a package of 2-1/2 inch nails which have many uses, but they tended to be a bit too long for other projects. I bought a pack of these (4,000 nails) and they fit perfectly in the nailer and have performed flawlessly.
